On the occasion of Ayurveda Day, the World Ayurveda Foundation (WAF) is launching their first Scientific Communications Fellowship to nurture young voices in the field. The fellowships will be operated as online or onsite mode. This fellowship invites applications to gain hands-on experience in scientific communication, editorial processes, and innovative outreach programs.
Fellowship for Students
Who can apply? Undergraduate / Postgraduates Students of Ayurveda / Health Sciences / Biomedical sciences / Library and Information Sciences
Duration: 6 months
Students will get an opportunity to train with the J-AIM Editorial office, short terms hands-on projects in scientific writing, communicate science through social media
Stipend: ₹ 5000/month
Desirable: Basic skills in writing and editing, familiarity with digital tools (reference manager, social media), ability to work independently with tight deadlines.
Fellowship for Professionals
Who can apply? Teachers/ Ph.D. scholars/Clinicians
Duration: 1 year
Active involvement with J-AIM editorial office, contributions in scientific communication initiatives, innovative outreach project.
Stipend: ₹10,000/month
Desirable: Prior experience in research or teaching, a flair in writing and wide interest in diverse areas on integrative health communication, innovative mindset for outreach through digital platforms, or academic initiatives, commitment to ethical scientific communication.
How to apply?
Individuals have to send an application via link given below including a statement of purpose (SOP). The SOP must describe your motivation for applying, your relevant skills or experience in scientific communication, your creative approaches to solving problems and why you would like to join our team! The SOP can be a 2-minute video or a 700 words text format. A letter of recommendation is desirable.
Applicants are encouraged to study the JAIM website. Use of generative AI in making the SOPs will be identified.
